5 Outdated Style Trends To Leave In The Past

5 Outdated Style Trends To Leave In The Past

Go On, Join Your Fashion-Forward Friends

It’s not easy to part with something you’ve loved for so long. Call us crazy, but that’s why our closet is still home to some of the smelliest, worn-down sneakers you can imagine. But there’s a difference between beloved items and ancient relics that age your wardrobe. Come with us as we finally kick some outdated styles to the curb.

1. Low-Rise Jeans

Remember the dreaded days when low-rise jeans dominated stores? Well, that nightmare is officially over, which means it’s time to retire those uncomfortable pants for something much more fitting—literally! Not everyone wants to show off their undies anymore, either.

2. Massive Sunglasses

It was once a good idea to rock colossal sunglasses. You know the ones we’re talking about: those huge frames that ate half your face. In today’s climate, we don’t gravitate towards that anymore. It’s all about showing off your style and face with slim frames; think of it like the same UV protection just without the gaudy accessory.

3. Parachute Pants

Guess what? MC Hammer called! Parachute pants were a popular item back in the ‘80s, but unless you’re stuck in the decade, you shouldn’t own a pair of these. Despite their weirdly cool aesthetic, they’re a relic of movements past.

4. Crocs

Wherever we go, crocs refuse to leave. They still haunt stores or socked feet (which is an entirely different problem), almost taunting us for their long-lasting appeal. However, we’re not fans—the novelty has long worn off and it’s time to hang these up for good.

5. Skinny Jeans

Skinny jeans suffer the same plight as low-rise pants: they’re uncomfortable. Thankfully, fashion gurus today swapped the skintight stuff for stylish comfort, and we can’t imagine trying to squeeze back into a pair of these.
